    研究開発：ITER、核融合研究プロジェクト向けの「熱化学的電磁流体モデル」
    R & D Project: Thermo-Chemo-Magneto-hydraulic models for ITER, Nuclear fusion Research

    Fluidyn France社は、スペインのバルセロナを本拠とする国際核融合研究のヨーロッパ機関、F4E(Fusion for Energy)の４年間の共同研究パートナーシップ契約に選抜されました。このプロジェクトでは、TBMのヨーロッパ方式であるHCLLおよびHPCBブランケットのシミュレーションツールの開発を行います。これは1000万℃以上の熱プラズマを磁気的に閉じ込める世界最大の実験装置で、Fluidyn社は、これまでも数年の間ITERの大プロジェクトの一翼を担ってきました。

    トピックス：逆流防止弁の流体構造連成問題
    ・制御バルブは高度な技術製品であり、プラント装置に何百、何千と存在します。一つひとつのバルブは、圧力、流量、液面レベル、温度などの重要なプロセス変数を制御するよう設計され、多様な動作条件の下でのバルブの性能や効率を見極めるには、流体特性と、流体圧力による構造特性の両方を理解することが重要です。多くの流体構造連成（FSI）は、解析的な方程式で解くべき非常に複雑な問題であり、実験的手法で分析されるはずの問題です。しかし、実験は時間とコストがかかる一方で、物理を完全に理解することはできません。したがって、バルブのFSI問題を解決する最善の方法は、マルチフィジックスシミュレーションによる検討です。
    ・バルブの性能は、本質的に流れの分布に影響され、一様な流れの場合にその効率を増し、圧力低下を抑え、プラントの処理性能の最適化を図ることが出来ます。バルブ周辺の流れ分布は、幾何的形状によって支配されるため、バルブをより良く設計することが非常に重要です。開閉時には、流れとバルブ構成部品との相互作用による振動が観察されます。FSI問題の数値流体力学（CFD）解析は、バルブの構成部品に働く力の計算を可能にし、力に応じた構成部品の位置を求めます。
    ・プロセス産業の成長とともに、振動低減は主要な関心事となり、バルブは、システム振動の根本原因の一つであることが知られてきました。したがって、流れの挙動、振動と流れの相互関連によるバルブ振動の研究が重要な問題です。バルブ周辺の流れは、長期運用時の漏れや故障につながる乱流の発生をもたらします。
    ・FSI問題を解く上で主要な障害の一つは、数値流体力学、構造力学、効率的なソルバー、カップリングスキーム、など多方面に精通する必要があることです。これまでFSI問題は、複数のソフトウェアにより複数のソルバーを用いて、構造物の変位と流体の２つの支配方程式が解かれてきました。
    ・しかし、商用のFSIシミュレーション専用ツールFluidyn-MP FSIでは、流体・構造それぞれの領域に対して、流体解析用の有限体積法(FVM)と、構造解析用の有限要素法(FEM)の先進的解析技術の強カップリング手法という革新的なアプローチを提供します。このソフトウェアに備えられた種々の数値スキームにより、流体・構造それぞれの解析技術について、この問題に適用することが可能となります。
    ・様々な数値スキームの利用可能性とロバストな流体・構造の解法という強カップリング特性は、計算時間の量を最適化し、正確で信頼できる結果を与えることができます。

        広範な分野の研究開発をもとに、有毒ガスの漏洩源とガス雲の漂流をリアルタイムに予測する革新的なプラットフォームが開発され、フランス石油大手TOTALのサイトに導入されました。 このプラットフォームには、次の２つの目的があります。
        ・事故の発生直後に、サイトのセンサーの一部でも有毒ガスの漏洩を感知したら、速やか（5分以内)かつ高精度に漏洩源とその範囲をつき止められること　
        ・非常時の対策手段を最も効果的に活用するために、有毒ガスの到達範囲や方向など、その後の展開をリアルタイムで予測できること

          トピックス：地球温暖化に歯止めを掛ける
          大気中で温室効果ガスのレベルが急激に増加し、地球の気候に影響を与え始めていることは周知の事実です。この増加の主要原因の一つは、発電所や工場などから排出される高濃度CO2の量です。この影響を低減するため、いくつかのアイデアが検討されています。一案として、CO2をうまく回収して貯留できれば、この技術の実用化を通じて、CO2濃度の安定化を図れる見通しがあります。
          温室効果ガスの排出を大幅に削減する画期的な新技術を開発するため、多数の国際的なプロジェクトが実施されてきました。その一つにCO2回収•貯留（CCS: Carbon Capture and Storage）があります。CCSは、工場からCO2を回収・圧縮して、パイプラインを介して輸送し、深部地下地層に注入するための広範な技術を包含します。
          数値流体力学(CFD)ツールは、温室効果ガス削減をめざすこの探求に、果たすべき役割があります。例として、近年FLUIDYN社が関わる２つのプロジェクトで、CO2の輸送と隔離の課題に取り組んでいます。
          CCSの重要なポイントは、長距離パイプラインによるCO2それ自体の輸送です。外的あるいは内的要因によりパイプが破損すると、CO2は超臨界で輸送されることが多いため、拡散の影響が野生動物生息域などの自然環境を含めた広い範囲に及ぶ恐れがあります。したがって、様々な漏洩シナリオについて拡散範囲を正確に推定することは、パイプラインルート設定や緊急時の対策に役立ちます。
          GDFSuezとEntrepose Contractingによる共同プロジェクトで、FLUIDYN社は高密度液体CO2あるいは超臨界CO2輸送について、特定の運転条件のもとでの挙動を再現するCFDモデルを開発しました。またCO2プルーム拡散範囲モデルは、UKの大規模屋外実験プロジェクトによる測定結果、CO2PIPETRANSと比較検証されています。

            トピックス：地上に太陽エネルギーを実現する国際プロジェクト
            将来、産業に力を与え家庭に光をもたらす、クリーンで持続可能なエネルギーを実現することは可能だろうか？この問いへの答えは、熱核融合実験炉（International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor : ITER）と呼ばれる国際協力の最も野心的なプロジェクトにあります。世界人口の半分以上の国々が、核融合－太陽や星のエネルギー生成と同じプロセス－という物理的な反応を再現するために結集しました。
            世界最大の核融合炉を構築するために南フランスに位置するカダラッシュが選定され、2018年までに実験完了、2022年までに運用開始の予定です。
            英国オックスフォードにある欧州共同トーラス（Joint European Torus : JET）などの既存施設による実験は成功し、1997年に0.5秒間の持続核融合発電により16メガワットを発電しました。JET実験は、このプロセスの地球上での再現可能性を証明しました。
            ITERはJETの後継者であり、商業市場への核融合エネルギーをもたらす融合発電所計画DEMO（核融合原型炉）に先立って、JETの10倍以上という核融合発電の成功が期待されています。（略）
            ITERの成功は、エネルギー不足、気候変動や化石燃料の資源枯渇などの地球規模の問題に取り組む多くの国々にとって非常に重要です。2013年3月、ITERは将来に向けて多くの国際的な企業がITERと共にこの探究作業に参加するようビジネスフォーラムを開催しました。このフォーラムでは、研究の現状、調達プロセス、今後の入札計画などの最新情報が明らかにされ、産業界が相互にパートナーとしてITERの開発に貢献できるように、相乗効果を生み出しスキルを結合する場として成功を収めました。

            ニュース：
            FLUIDYN社は、ITER開発に参加しその一端を担っており、マルチフィジックスシミュレーションのノウハウを通じて、プロジェクトに貢献してきました。2010年にFLUIDYN社との間で局所漏洩シミュレーションの契約が締結されました。

            昨年12月、ロンドンでは「1952年大スモッグ」の60周年を迎えました。石炭暖房とディーゼル排ガスによる煤煙は、当時の気象条件と相俟って街全体を覆うスモッグとなって家々に侵入し、たった5日間で4000人から12000人が死亡したと見られ、世界の環境保護運動に衝撃を与えました。
            この1月、北京では、航空機の着陸時の視程が100m未満、工場が知らぬ間に全焼し、住民の呼吸器疾患が30%増加するという「呪われたスモッグ」を体験しました。
            この60年、生活様式が環境に与える長期的な影響についての意識は高まりましたが、同時に、世界人口は推定70億に成長しており、都市、産業、エネルギー需要、交通手段等の増加をもたらしています。その結果、大気汚染は、癌、心血管疾患、呼吸器疾患などの慢性的な非伝染性疾患の主な原因として挙げられ、きれいな空気を保証することはすべての国にとって重要な課題となっています。
            欧州連合（EU）は、2013年を「大気の年(YEAR OF AIR)」と呼んで、欧州全域で大気質に関する法律制定を強力に進めています。（略）
            こうした大気環境保護のプロジェクトで、小規模ながらも重要な取り組みは、数値流体力学（CFD）の手法によるものです。コンピュータの能力向上と低価格化により、CFDは、より良い大気質管理のために、意思決定者が最も費用対効果の高い戦略を判定するシステムを支え、産業地域や交通網の科学的評価と環境プロジェクトをサポートします。CFDは、環境管理のプロセスに高い信頼性を与える、重要な鍵となる手法です。

            SIAAP Protect'Air award SIAAP the Sanitation Service Department of Paris was awarded the first Protect'Air prize recently by "Les Respirations of Enghien". Their real time odour modelling platform SYPROS was developed by Fluidyn.

            「長さ46mの風車の羽根が空から降ってくる！？ための防護」と題して、パリから約70km離れたChemin d'Ablisでのブレード破損事故ほか、最近エコあるいはクリーンなエネルギーとして注目されている風力発電用風車の事故リスクや、低騒音問題などの環境影響評価に、CFD手法による検討が有効であることを取り上げています。特に、運転中のブレードの振動や変形などの挙動解析に、流体構造連成解析手法が有効であると述べています。
